This stylish, soothing seafront retreat makes an idyllic escape for both families and couples.
Reopened in July 2021 after an extensive refurb, this cool, bohemian and contemporary resort is designed to reflect its natural surroundings. The golden-sand beachfront, views of the sparkling Ionian Sea and peaceful pine forest backdrop make you feel like you’re on a remote island, yet the lively bars and traditional tavernas of Corfu Town are just half an hour’s drive away. Cleverly designed zones mean there are family-focused and adult-only areas and pools, and the resort takes inspiration from ancient Greece in everything from the rooms to the restaurants, which happen to be superb.
Why we love Domes of Corfu, Autograph Collection
-
It’s stylish, sleek and contemporary, with décor inspired by the island and an idyllic location on a private, pristine beach on Corfu’s west coast.
-
It’s great for families as well as couples, with adult-only and family-friendly pools, plus a kids’ club and childcare facilities for parents wanting some down-time.
-
The dining is excellent, with four restaurants and three bars spanning everything from Italian fine-dining to gourmet street food and a stylish cocktail lounge.
-
It’s well-located for exploring the island, with a curated list of local cultural experiences available – from wine-tasting to artisanal workshops.
This resort has earned internationally recognised certification that conform to standards set by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council.
Rooms
The 233 rooms have also been helpfully designed for couples or families. All have warm earthy tones and relaxing views of the mountains or out to sea. On a getaway for two, we recommend the intimate Sapphire Retreat, while families will love the spacious Sapphire Sublime Family Suite.
Haute Living Selection
Upgrade to a suite in this exclusive section of the resort for extra VIP benefits such as access to the Haute Living Room, 24-hour concierge service, a Domes exclusive check-in experience and the extra dining options that come with the Haute Suite Living Half Board.
Facilities
You’ll find four restaurants and three bars here, with names and décor inspired by ancient Greece. Highlights include the main restaurant Agora (meaning ancient Greek marketplace), and Spianada, the hub of the hotel, featuring pop-up food stalls and shops. Bars offer something for every time of day, from wellness juices and fruit smoothies at the all-new Freskada to signature cocktails at the sophisticated Nkaleri Lounge Bar.
Agora
Named after an ancient Greek marketplace, this is the resort’s main restaurant with sumptuous buffets served in an atrium overlooking the sea. There are regular themed nights, and the restaurant also hosts frequent culinary workshops.
Frourio
Indulge in Italian-style fine dining with a Greek twist at this atmospheric spot, complete with a wine cellar, open kitchen and optional chef’s table experience.
Topos
This simple and traditional beachfront eatery focuses on boat-fresh seafood with a side of sea breeze, offering idyllic ocean views.
Spianada
Inspired by a Corfiot market, this puts a gastro spin on street food favourites with trucks and snack stands serving authentic local dishes, mezze and drinks right in front of the beach.
Freskada
Cool down with a fresh juice or smoothie at this new, health-forward bar.
Nkaleri Lounge Bar
Sip a cocktail with nightly live music at this stylish lounge bar, with opulent surroundings inspired by the island’s heritage.
Paralia Beach & Pool Bar
This waterfront beach bar serves craft cocktails, snacks and sundowners with fiery sunset views over the ocean each evening.
Xenia Lobby Bar
Enjoy a welcome drink and snack at this laid-back lobby bar, named after the Greek word for hospitality and inspired by the rituals of ancient Greece
The food at Frourio is exquisite; opt for the chef’s table for a culinary experience you won’t forget.
