Blue Waters Resort & Spa

Authentic Caribbean charm

Set amid stunning gardens, this intimate resort offers impeccable service and exquisite clifftop suites.

This beautiful hotel blends modern chic and classic-colonial style, with fresh white décor and warm wood. Stroll along powder-soft sands to secluded coves and wade into calm waters for swimming and watersports. Relax on a plush sun lounger on the beach deck or by one of the stunning infinity pools that merge with the turquoise sea beyond. Explore gardens draped with bougainvillaea and hibiscus and spot hummingbirds. The hotel has a significant focus on environmental responsibility too – it’s making great strides in banning all single-use plastics and is the first hotel in Antigua to launch a refillable water bottle scheme.

The Spa at Blue Waters has partnered with ila Spa, a celebrated brand which uses products from medicinal flowers to powerful gem stones. The Spa itself has both indoor and outdoor treatment rooms, and a wonderful oceanfront relaxation area with infinity pool for pre- and post-treatment relaxation. As well as luxurious scrubs, facials, massages and more, you can enjoy bespoke therapies including the signature ila Chakra Wellbeing treatment which involves a Marma massage, and the Gold Cellular Face Therapy aimed at skin rejuvenation with frankincense from Ethiopia.

The hotel's fitness centre is equipped with treadmills, cross-trainers and bikes. If you wish to see more of Antigua, Blue Waters has its own boat that can be chartered for up to 12 guests. The resort offers a complimentary daily activities programme which includes yoga, pilates, aquacise, zumba, wine & rum tasting, garden tours and fishing. There is also a tennis court with equipment for hire.

Blue Waters has a strong emphasis on reducing plastic pollution. Guests are given a drinking bottle on arrival that they can keep topped up from the resort’s refill points. Bathroom amenities are supplied by Neem Avenue, a company focussed on using organic local ingredients.

Other sustainable policies include seaweed composting, using solar power to light up the pathways and eliminating the use of motorised water sports.

Family dining is a breeze at Blue Waters. From early sitting times for little guests, to a pre-order system that lets families choose dishes ahead of time, it’s all geared up to make things as stress-free as possible.

Rooms at Blue Waters are designed to feel like a homeaway- from-home with plenty of space for families. We recommend the Cove Suites, which sleep up to two adults and two children up to 12 years old. There are exclusive pools for Cove Suite guests. If you want the children to have a separate sleeping space, we love the Deluxe Beachfront Rooms which can be interconnecting and sleep up to two adults and three children. Luxury Suites sleep up to two adults and three children in the lounge area. The Cove Penthouse is a great choice for those with a bigger budget, with three bedrooms and an open-plan kitchen and living area. Villas are also available. Cots are available on request.

Blue Waters kids' club is available for ages 5-12, open all year round, Monday-Friday from 9:30am-4pm with activities on offer such as arts & crafts, fishing, cricket, dancing and tie dye.
